On November 29, 2007 the Board of Lietuvos Energija AB approved the Draft of the adjusted prices and tariffs to be charged for the electricity transmission service along with the procedure of their application and submitted the Draft to the National Control Commission for Prices and Energy (NCCPE) for its revision and public announcement. The Draft provides that the previously set and announced price to be charged by the transmission system operator for the electricity transmission service will be reduced by 8 percent, therefore the price will remain unchanged, i.e. at the beginning of the coming year, like in 2007, it will be equal 2.4LTc/kWh. As compared with the previously announced prices, the other components of the transmission price - the price for maintaining the capacity reserve and the price of the public service obligations - will remain unchanged and will be respectively equal 1.28LTc/kWh (the effective price in 2007 - LTc 1.18/kWh) and 3.72LTc/kWh (in 2007 this price is allocated to the components of electricity production price). Essentially, the mentioned prices do not depend on Lietuvos Energija AB, but are subject to the decisions of other entities - the boards of the power plants and the NCCPE. The effective prices and tariffs for the electricity transmission service in 2008 and the procedure of their application will be publicly announced by the NCCPE.
