In 9 months of 2007, the Joint Stock Company “Latvijas Gāze” has sold to
consumers 1.15 billion m3 of natural gas, which, in comparison with the
respective period of 2006, is by 6.3% less. The decrease is due to warmer
weather conditions in the first three months of 2007.
In 9 months of 2007, customers have been sold natural gas and provided services
for LVL 143.7 million, which, in comparison with the respective period of 2006,
is by 14.8% more, and profited LVL 4.88 million, which is by 43.6% less than in
9 months of 2006.
Within the capital investment program, LVL 18.2 million have been utilized in 9
months of 2007. Investment funds have been mostly used for modernization of
technological equipment and construction of new gas pipelines.
The natural gas injection season in the Incukalns Underground Gas Storage
(hereinafter - IUGS) was commenced on April 16 this year and has been completed
on October 10 this year. Commencing the injection, the reserves of active gas
at he IUGS were 1,14 billion m3. There were injected 1,18 billion m3 of natural
gas into IUGS in year 2007, reaching the amount of active natural gas 2,32
billion m3 at the end of the injection season.
