SSH Communications Security Joins PCI Security Standards Council To Expand Global PCI-DSS Adoption and Ease Compliance

SSH Provides Robust Encryption and End-to-End Communications Security Solutions
to Help Organizations Cost-Effectively Protect Cardholder Data

HELSINKI, FINLAND and WELLESLEY, Mass. - December 4, 2007 - SSH Communications
Security Corp. (OMX:SSH1V), a world-leading provider of enterprise security
solutions and end-to-end communications security, and the original developer of
the Secure Shell protocol, today announced that it has joined the PCI Security
Standards Council as a new participating organization. As a company, SSH
Communication Security has robust expertise in encryption and network security
and the company's SSH Tectia security solution is widely used to help
organizations achieve compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security
Standard (DSS).

The PCI DSS, endorsed by American Express, Discover Financial Services, JCB,
MasterCard Worldwide and Visa Inc., requires merchants and service providers
that store, process or transmit customer payment card data to adhere to
information security controls and processes that ensure data integrity.

As a Participating Organization, SSH Communication Security will now have
access to the latest payment card security standards from the Council, be able
to provide feedback on the standards, and become part of this key growing
community. In an era of increasingly sophisticated attacks on systems, adhering
to the PCI DSS represents an entity's best protection against data criminals.

“The PCI Security Standards Council is committed to helping everyone involved
in the payment chain protect consumer payment data,” said Bob Russo, General
Manager of the PCI Security Standards Council. “By participating in the
standards setting process, SSH Communications Security demonstrates they are
playing an active part in this important end goal.”
“For the past two years we have helped major global financial and retail
organizations become PCI DSS compliant,” said Arto Vainio, CEO of SSH
Communications Security. “Our SSH Tectia Solution enables organizations to
quickly and cost-effectively protect cardholder data in transit without
modifications to applications, scripts or infrastructure. Our proven expertise
in encryption and multi-platform end-to-end security solutions will enable us
to make valuable contributions to the Council. We look forward to working with
the Council and the retail industry to improve cardholder data security”
