COSTA MESA, Calif., Dec. 4, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Emulex Corporation (NYSE:ELX) today announced its LightPulse(r) Fibre Channel Host Bus Adapters (HBAs) have been selected by Sun Microsystems for its new Netra(tm) family of carrier grade blade servers. The new Sun StorageTek(tm) 4Gb/s Fibre Channel ATCA HBAs, which are based on the Emulex 4Gb/s LightPulse LPe11000 HBA family, offer a highly integrated connectivity solution ideal for telecommunications companies deploying the Sun Netra platform within a storage area networking (SAN) environment.
