RESTON, Va., Dec. 6, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) recently honored 11 small business suppliers for their outstanding performance and commitment to producing quality products and services.
Northrop Grumman's Mission Systems sector awarded those small companies that met the highest criteria for delivery, quality, cost and schedule management and customer satisfaction. Awardees include small, small-disadvantaged, women-owned, service-disabled and veteran-owned businesses and historically underutilized business zone companies.
The awardees recognized during a November celebration at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Tysons Corner, Va., included: ADB Industries, Burbank, Calif.; Azbell Electronics, Fort Hood, Texas; Blackstone Technologies Group, Arlington, Va.; Cipher Systems, Crofton, Md.; DopplerTech Inc., Yuma, Ariz.; Force 3 Inc., Crofton, Md.; Gaffoglio Family Metalcrafters Inc., Fountain Valley, Calif.; KNWebs Inc., Norman, Okla.; Schafer Corporation, Huntsville, Ala.; United Circuits Inc., Meridianville, Ala., and US Contracting Inc., Annapolis, Md.

Tracey Pinson, U.S. Army director for the Office of Small Business Programs for the Secretary of the Army, was keynote speaker for the award ceremony. She spoke on the history of legislation governing small businesses and the important role laws play for small businesses.
