New acquisition makes SWECO largest in Lithuania

SWECO has signed an agreement to acquire the Lithuanian company Hidroprojektas
with 175 employees. Through the acquisition, SWECO will become the country's
largest engineering consultancy.

”In the past year we have grown from 80 to over 800 employees in Central and
Eastern Europe. Now we are adding another 175 employees and doubling the number
of consultants in Lithuania,” says Per Johansson, Managing Director of SWECO
Central and Eastern Europe.

Hidroprojektas has most of its employees based in Kaunas, Lithuania's second
largest city. The company is a provider of consulting engineering services with
an emphasis on water supply, hydropower and infrastructure.

“Hidroprojektas will be a valuable complement to our other operations in
Lithuania, in terms of both resources and geographic coverage,” adds Per
Johansson.

The acquisition is subject to the Lithuanian Competition Authority's approval.
The seller of Hidroprojektas is Lithuanian holding company Invalda, which
manages its investments in real estate, finance, pharmacy, furniture
manufacturing, roads and bridges construction and hotel management sectors.
