FreeSeas Inc. Announces New Employment for Free Destiny


PIRAEUS, Greece, Dec. 17, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- FreeSeas Inc. (Nasdaq:FREE) (Nasdaq:FREEW) (Nasdaq:FREEZ) ("FreeSeas" or "the Company"), a provider of seaborne transportation for drybulk cargoes, announced today that the Free Destiny, a 1982-built, 25,240 dwt Handysize vessel, has completed its charter at $28,000 per day and has been delivered to its new charterers for a 10-day spot voyage at $32,500 per day for repositioning purposes. Upon completion of this trip, the vessel has already been fixed for a subsequent 35-day time-charter at $35,000 per day.
