Autoliv Tremonton Receives 2007 Best Plant Award from IndustryWeek

Annual award program recognizes the 10 best
manufacturing facilities in North America

(Stockholm, December 20, 2007) - - - Autoliv Tremonton has been selected as one
of North America's Top Ten Best Plants by IndustryWeek, the leading
manufacturing management magazine. The plant, located in Tremonton, Utah,
produces initiators for airbag and seatbelt applications.

David Blanchard, IndustryWeek's Editor in Chief, said the Autoliv plant was
selected from among 165 facilities demonstrating world-class manufacturing
capabilities and a management mindset of continuous improvement. In announcing
the award, the magazine noted that the plants were being recognized for
“engaging their employees, deploying new technologies and collaborating with
their supply chain partners as they pursue efforts to be the best.”

“We are extremely honored to receive this important recognition from
IndustryWeek and its panel of distinguished judges," said Mike Ward, President
of Autoliv North America. “IndustryWeek looks for companies providing tangible
examples of measurable and sustainable improvements. This award not only
recognizes our employees for their skill in applying lean processes, but it also
reflects our company's commitment to deliver superior value to our customers by
implementing the Autoliv Production System.”

Autoliv Tremonton participated in an extensive qualifying process that evaluated
the plant's performance metrics in areas such as manufacturing operations and
flexibility, process flow and productivity, quality, supplier management, and
environment and safety programs. Measured improvement over a five-year period
was also a critical factor for all candidates under consideration.
IndustryWeek's Best Plants Award Program is an annual recognition of outstanding
manufacturing facilities all across North America. The award recognizes plants
on the leading edge of efforts to increase competitiveness, enhance customer
satisfaction, and create stimulating and rewarding work environments.

The Autoliv initiator plant will receive a commemorative award at ceremonies
scheduled for January 2008, at the site in Tremonton, Utah.
