This Man Made a Difference After Finding His Apache Roots -- New Book Tells the Author's True Story of Growing Up and Learning About His Indian Heritage

HENDERSON, Nev., Dec. 21, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Discovering and understanding your ancestry is a special experience -- and it doesn't matter what others think. Rejecting your heritage is useless because there is truly no choice but to live with it. Author Ray Chavarria experienced this and, not only did he struggle discovering his Indian roots, he had to deal with social troubles of his own. These are some of the events that will keep readers thinking as Xlibris announces the release of his new book Ray Chavarria's Indian Family Roots.

Filled with facts and references about early Indian history, this book discusses how the author discovered his Indian lineage during his latter years and how the U.S. government furnished documents to prove his Apache ancestry while denying their own records. Stories about his troubled youth, his adulthood and the reforming guidance he received from his parents will remind readers that life is never simple, especially for those with mixed ancestries. Not only did Chavarria struggle between finding his roots and living with modern society, he had to go through many obstacles that hounded him, such as having enemies who discriminated against him and dealing with the government's denials of his heritage.

For your reading pleasure, Ray Chavarria's Indian Family Roots is now available for ordering at your local bookstore and online at Xlibris.com.
