Donny Deutsch, Host of CNBC's THE BIG IDEA and Chairman, Deutsch, Inc. to Ring the NASDAQ Stock Market Opening Bell in Times Square, the Advertising Capital of the World

ADVISORY, Dec. 31, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) --

 What:
Donny Deutsch, Host of CNBC's THE BIG IDEA and Chairman, Deutsch, Inc.
will preside over the opening bell at NASDAQ MarketSite in Times
 Square.

NASDAQ's seven story Tower is an advertising billboard and the largest
stationary screen in the world. This high-tech electronic display
wraps around the cylindrical NASDAQ building, providing
up-to-the-minute financial news, market highlights, and
advertisements. The MarketSite Tower is featured in films, television
programming, and news articles. This modern day icon soars 7 stories
high and illuminates Times Square 24 hours a day.

Known as the Advertising Capital of the World, Times Square welcomes
approximately 1.5 million visitors each day. Times Square has 50,000
square feet of major billboards with $60 million+ in annual revenues.

Each year on New Year's Eve, approximately 500,000 attendees join the
celebration in Times Square with 1 billion viewers worldwide.

As Chairman of Deutsch Inc., Donny implemented his "leaner, meaner,
faster, smarter" philosophy to transform a small advertising shop into
one of the nation's top 10 agencies. The $2.5 billion full-service
agency has provided clients with strategic marketing programs that are
intrusive, effective and talked about. Prestigious clients include
General Motors, Johnson & Johnson, DIRECTV, Novartis Worldwide, IKEA,
 & Under Armour.

In 2005 Harper Collins published Donny's business motivation book,
Often Wrong, Never in Doubt, based on his career experiences. Reviews
have called his writing "bold, funny and often irreverent," and
Newsweek (11/2005) noted, "His trademark candor can be
cringe-inducingly un-P.C ... But it's refreshing when he applies it to
his agency's and his own successes and failures, and draws lessons
from each." Deutsch is also Managing Partner of Deutsch Open City, the
independent production company that has produced a string of highly
acclaimed independent films. He also had a brief turn in politics as a
lead member of the Clinton/Gore communications team in 1992.

A graduate of the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania,
Deutsch now serves on two prestigious boards: UPenn's School of
Social Work's Executive Committee and the Michael J. Fox Parkinson's
 Foundation's Board of Directors.

About NASDAQ MarketSite:

Built in 1999, NASDAQ MarketSite made its debut in the Millennium in Times Square where the first Market Open was held in January 2000. The concept behind the MarketSite studio was to develop an epicenter for financial and business news in the heart of Manhattan.
