LOS ANGELES, Jan. 4, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Wilshire Bancorp, Inc. (Nasdaq:WIBC), the holding company for Wilshire State Bank, today announced that it has been named to U.S. Banker magazine's Top 25 Banks of 2008. In its January 2008 issue, U.S. Banker ranked Wilshire 21st on its Top 25 Banks of 2008 based on one-year return on equity ("ROE") as of 9/30/07 (Source: SNL Financial).
