Ramirent strengthens its presence in Finland
Ramirent Finland Oy, the Finnish wholly-owned subsidiary of Ramirent Plc, has
acquired the rental equipment business of Suomen Rakennuskonevuokraamo Oy on 3
January 2008. The acquisition adds two new outlets to Ramirent's presence in the
area of Helsinki and Espoo in Finland.
Founded in 1965, Suomen Rakennuskonevuokraamo Oy, has annual revenues of around
€2 million, employs 10 people in two depots in Helsinki and Espoo. It rents
equipment and machinery to customers in the construction industry. The
management and all employees will continue with the company.
Suomen Rakennuskonevuokraamo Oy complements Ramirent's existing network of
outlets in the capital city area and is a valuable addition to the
organisation's personnel resources and know-how in managing the local market.
The acquisition is in line with Ramirent Group's strategy of growing through
select small and midsize acquisitions in order to strengthen its local market
position and improve its service through a wider presence. Ramirent has now 97
outlets in Finland.
