Photo Release -- Northrop Grumman Names Jeffrey Palombo to Head New Land Forces Division


ROLLING MEADOWS, Ill., Jan. 7, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) has appointed Jeffrey Q. Palombo as sector vice president and general manager of the company's newly-created Land Forces Division, effective immediately.

In his new position, Palombo will have executive responsibility for land forces, communications systems and laser systems programs at Northrop Grumman facilities in Apopka, Fla.; Baltimore; Cincinnati; Garland, Texas; Gaithersburg, Md; Huntsville, Ala; Rolling Meadows, Ill.; Tempe, Ariz; and Troy Hill, Md.

Palombo joined the company in 2003 as site director of the company's Amherst Systems business unit in Buffalo, N.Y., where he was responsible for the development, production and delivery of laboratory stimulation and open-air range simulation training systems for both domestic and international customers. Since 2006, Palombo has served as vice president of Infrared Countermeasures (IRCM) for the Defensive Systems Division in Rolling Meadows, Ill., with executive oversight of the entire IRCM (infrared countermeasures) portfolio.

Palombo earned a bachelor's degree in business and marketing from Adelphi University. In addition, he has completed Hofstra University's management program in government contracts administration as well as extensive coursework in electrical engineering at the Polytechnic Institute of New York.
