13-12-2007: Result from the drilling of the Thorkildsen prospect

The drilling of an appraisal well in the Thorkildsen prospect in license 341 on
the Norwegian continental shelf has been finalised by the operator. The well
was dry and will now be plugged and abandoned. PA Resources has a 10 percent
share in the license.

The appraisal well 24/12-3 S is located at the Thorkildsen prospect in the
central part of the North Sea. The target for the well was to delimit the
earlier made discovery at the Thorkildsen prospect. The well was drilled by the
drilling rig Bredford Dolphin to a vertical depth of 2,214 metres below the sea
surface, and was concluded in the Heimdal formation of Paleocene age. Water
depth at the site was 116 metres.

The appraisal well was dry. Good quality reservoir sandstone was encountered.
The well will now be plugged and abandoned.

- The results from the drilling will most probably lead to a decision not to
develop Thorkildsen. Further analysis of the drilling result will though be
done before a final decision can be made, says Ulrik Jansson, President and CEO
at PA Resources AB.

The licensees in PL 341 are the operator NOIL Energy ASA - subsidiary of Det
norske oljeselskap ASA (30%), Revus Energy ASA (30%), Talisman Energy Norge AS
(30%) and PA Resources Norway AS (10%).
