Federal Government Adds BDNA to Premier Software Procurement Vehicles

BDNA Becoming de Facto Solution in Government to Accurately Inventory and Analyze Technology Assets

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Jan. 9, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- BDNA Corporation announced that it has been selected by the U.S. Government for two prestigious software procurement vehicles: the Department of Defense Enterprise Software Initiative (DoD ESI) and the U.S. General Services Administration's (GSA) SmartBUY Blanket Purchase Agreement. BDNA's selection to these procurement vehicles follows recently received awards from multiple Federal Government agencies, including the Department of the Navy, GSA, and the Department of Homeland Security/U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.

BDNA's continued success in the Federal Government led to the decisions by the Department of Defense and the General Services Administration to incorporate BDNA into the government-wide BPAs.

"These awards are a natural step in enhancing our relationship with the Federal Government and reflects the demand for BDNA's inventory software," said Clark Campbell, BDNA Director of Public Sector Sales. "We have helped numerous government organizations quickly achieve real-time visibility into all technology assets, with rapid implementations. This level of asset visibility, previously believed to be unattainable, has translated into substantial cost avoidance, while also assisting in improving ongoing information assurance efforts."

Government agencies have selected BDNA to gain comprehensive inventory information with low implementation risks. Utilizing BDNA Inventory, organizations collect detailed configuration information about all networked technology assets (hardware and software) in a secure, agent-less and non-invasive manner. This inventory data is then used to feed CMDBs, help desks, portfolio management, and enterprise architecture solutions, as well as to assist with FISMA compliance and IPv6 transition planning.

BDNA is one of only 10 software vendors to appear on both the DoD ESI and the GSA SmartBUY programs.
