NEW YORK, Jan. 10, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- JetBlue Airways Corporation (Nasdaq:JBLU) today becomes Puerto Plata's first low-fare airline, and the only carrier to provide nonstop, daily year-round service to New York's John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK), with convenient connecting service to 12 other U.S. destinations. Beginning March 8, JetBlue begins daily nonstop service between Orlando and Santo Domingo. Regular fares between New York and Puerto Plata start as low as US$109 (a) each way.

Puerto Plata is JetBlue's third city served in the D.R. and the tenth Caribbean/Atlantic destination, including: Aruba; Bermuda; Cancun; Nassau; Aguadilla, Ponce and San Juan, Puerto Rico; and Santiago and Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. On January 17, the airline will begin nonstop service from JFK to St. Maarten in the Netherlands Antilles.
