Equity Media's RTN to Launch in Orlando

LITTLE ROCK, Ark., Jan. 10, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Retro Television Network (RTN), which is nationally owned and distributed by Equity Media Holdings Corporation (Nasdaq:EMDA), announced today that COX Television plans to add a sixth RTN affiliate on its Orlando station. The network will launch in the first quarter of this year on WRDQ-DT in Orlando, the nation's 19th largest television market.

"We are pleased to bring RTN's wonderful television programs back to our viewers," said Shawn Bartelt, Vice President / General Manager of WFTV and WRDQ. "RTN allows us to take their 'Classic TV' viewing experience and merge it with the 'TV DNA' that is our brand. This is a good marriage that we believe our viewers will enjoy."

"We are excited about adding the 6th Cox station to our growing affiliate lineup," said Mark Dvornik, Executive Vice President of RTN. "Orlando viewers will soon be able to enjoy some of their favorite shows from years past with RTN's 'Prime Time all the Time' lineup."

RTN is the first completely-customizable, national television network to provide a 24/7 digital feed of hit shows to each of its affiliates. The network's unique design allows each affiliate to remain in complete control while RTN runs the local and national master control from its central hub. RTN also offers customizable news and weather for each market, hosted by network-provided talent.
