Descartes Acquires Mobitrac Fleet Management Business


WATERLOO, Ontario, Jan. 10, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Descartes Systems Group (TSX:DSG) (Nasdaq:DSGX), a global on-demand software-as-a-service (SaaS) logistics solutions provider, has acquired certain assets of the fleet management business formerly known as Mobitrac from privately-held Fluensee, Inc. in an all-cash transaction.

As part of the transaction, Descartes has acquired software-as-a-service routing and scheduling technology. The purchase price for this acquisition was USD 0.65 million in cash and will include direct transaction costs incurred in connection with the acquisition.
