cdv enters the French market and continues its market expansion
consequently
cdv takes over majority of Madrics Media France
Bruchsal, 11 January 2008 cdv Software Entertainment AG continues its
course of expansion and takes over 75% of the shares of the newly founded
cdv Madrics Media S.A.S. with an option to acquire the remaining shares.
cdv Madrics Media S.A.S. has taken over business operations of the already
successful established Madrics Media France and will be responsible for the
marketing and sales of games-software and hardware as well as games
accessories in France and Benelux in the fast growing cdv group.
The management board expects the potential of an additional growth in
turnover in the lower double-digit million Euro range over the next two
years. The purchase price amounts to an EBIT multiple of approximately five
based on the target companys 2007 EBIT and will be paid in cash over
several instalments.
cdv Madrics Media S.A.S. owns the sought-after store listings of all
relevant trade chains in France and Benelux. With its experienced
Management- and Sales team, the company belongs to the leading
distributors of the French games market.
After expansions of the sales territories in Austria and Eastern Europe,
this acquisition demonstrates a further step towards the aspired
full-coverage of the European and US-American markets.
