Mekonomen launches new service centre chain in Scandinavia - MekoPartner

Mekonomen wants to make CarLife simple.  With the aim of further increasing
availability for consumers, a new service centre chain is being launched -
MekoPartner. MekoPartner will serve as a complement to Mekonomen's existing
service centre chain - Mekonomen Bilverkstad.

MekoPartner is a simple and good value alternative to branded service centres.
The consumer is guaranteed spare parts with the quality of original parts and a
three-year warranty from Mekonomen. Service centres affiliated to MekoPartner
have access to Mekonomen's logistics, which involves Mekonomen supplying spare
parts in nearly all cases early the following day.

Since 2000, Mekonomen has successfully developed the Mekonomen Bilverkstad
chain, which now has 761 members in Sweden, Norway and Denmark. As Mekonomen
Bilverkstad now takes its next step forward, with additional services and
adaptations to meet business customers' requirements, MekoPartner will become a
significant complement. With its two concepts, Mekonomen can offer solutions
that are suited to all quality service centres in Scandinavia.

As of 2003, when new EU regulations were introduced, brand-independent players
can perform services on new cars under continued applicable new car warranty,
provided the service meets the car manufacturers' quality requirements.
