HARTFORD, Conn., Jan. 16, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- The 11th Annual 2008 Dodge Truck Northeast Fishing & Hunting Expo is coming Friday, February 15 through Sunday, February 17, 2008 at the Connecticut Convention Center on 100 Columbus Ave. in Hartford, Conn.
The Expo features hundreds of booths showcasing the latest products for both fishing and hunting enthusiasts, and is designed as a great outing for the entire family. Featured Fishing expert presenters include: Joe Thomas; Capt. Rich Tenreiro; Capt. Bill Brown; Al Gags; Capt. Lynn Smith; Capt. Bruce Millar; Marla Blair; Bruce Marino; Mike Laptew; and Capt. John Planeta.
Featured Hunting expert presenters include: Peter & Kate Fiduccia; Del DelMastro; and Hal Blood.
Attendees will discover the newest fishing, hunting and outdoor equipment by some of the top manufacturers and can purchase a variety of products. They can meet charter boat captains, view new models of fishing boats, enjoy the Score Your Rack exhibit at the Northeast Big Buck Club; watch demonstrations on fly casting, fly tying and archery, view a reptile display by Riverside Reptiles and raptors by Canton Raptor Care.
Hands-on activities include: skill testing on a fishing simulator, and fishing at a Catch & Release Trout Pond -- if you catch a tagged fish, you win a Shakespeare rod and reel. There will be a Laser Shooting Range, and a Kids' Bass Casting Competition sponsored by the Connecticut Bass Federation Booth. And on Saturday and Sunday, the Sagittarian Archery School there will offer Archery Lessons.
