Geveko will change tax status to an operating company

During 2007 Geveko informed that priority will be given to the
development and expansion of the unlisted Industrial Operations ahead
of the Management of Securites. This strategic direction could lead
to that Geveko will no longer have tax status as an investment
company.

During the second half of 2007 six companies were acquired within the
Geveko Industrial Operations and sales of holdings in the Equities
Portfolio started.
By year end 2007-2008 the reduction of holdings in the Equities
Portolio including fixed income holdings was judged to come into
conflict with the riskdiversification requirements for an investment
company. Geveko is therefore of the opinion that the company is an
operating company as from 2008.

The tax authority will give final judgement concerning tax status
based on the coming income tax return. Tax cost on the change of
status is not expected to arise.
