On January 21, 2008 Bayerische Landesbank, Munich, Germany, announced
according to Article 21 Section 1 Sentence 1 WpHG [German Securities
Trading Act], that its proportion of voting rights in Balda AG,
Bergkirchener Str. 228, 32549 Bad Oeynhausen, Germany, exceeded the
threshold of 3 percent on January 17, 2008 amounting to 3.87 percent
(2,094,735 shares).

According to Article 22 Section 1 Sentence 1 Number 1 WpHG [German
Securities Trading Act] all voting rights (2,094,735 shares) are attributed
to Bayerische Landesbank through HYPO ALPE-ADRIA-BANK INTERNATIONAL AG and
HYPO ALPE-ADRIA-BANK AG, both Klagenfurt, Austria.
