Preliminary figures on fiscal year 2007:

IDS Scheer shows most successful year in the company’s history:
• Sales increased by 11% to over € 393.6 million
• EBITA raised by 22% to € 39.6 million

Saarbruecken, January 22, 2008
According to preliminary calculations, IDS Scheer AG increased its global
sales as against the previous year by more than 11% to € 393.6 million
(previous year: € 354.3 million) in fiscal 2007, thereby slightly
outperforming its own forecast. Without currency translation effects,
growth would have amounted to 12.5%. Both business areas, consulting and
products, significantly expanded their business volume. License sales for
ARIS, the world's leading software solution for business process
management, grew by 26% to a projected € 57.2 million (previous year: €
45.4 million). Earnings before interest, taxes and amortization of
intangible assets (EBITA) increased by 22% to around € 39.6 million in the
reporting year (previous year: € 32.6 million). In line with this, the
EBITA margin rose from 9.2% in fiscal 2006 to 10.1% in the year under
review. Thus, the company posted the strongest sales volume and the highest
EBITA in its history.
Operating cash flow is expected to amount to € 30 million, surpassing the
previous year's figure of € 21.5 million by almost 40%. As of December 31,
2007, IDS Scheer employed 2,992 people worldwide. This corresponds to an
increase of 6% compared to the end of the fiscal year 2006 (previous year:
2,823 employees).
'In fiscal year 2007, IDS Scheer again demonstrated strong organic growth.
The product business area showed the greatest growth rate and the
consulting area further improved its profit margin while raising sales. We
attracted a large number of new customers – particularly for our ARIS
software solution – and strengthened our position as a leading
international provider for business process management,' explained Thomas
Volk, CEO and President of IDS Scheer AG. 'Based on our expertise of
business process management, we will focus our strategy on ‘business
performance improvement’. The goal is to support our customers in improving
their growth and profitability in an increasingly difficult market
environment. To this end, we will continue to follow the path of increased
investments in sales and partner management.'
IDS Scheer will publish its forecast for fiscal year 2008 at the financial
press conference on February 28, 2008 in Frankfurt.
