Pleasure With Benefits: The Coffee Paradox -- Discover the Positive and Healthy Effects That Coffee Can Have On Your Body

SAVANNAH, Ga., Jan. 24, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- For centuries, coffee drinking has been an important ritual for millions of people worldwide. There have been numerous published articles and books about caffeine, but not many shine light on the relationship between coffee and health. Dr. Roseane Santos and Dr. Darcy Lima take on the vital task of informing everyone -- especially coffee drinkers -- that coffee is not just caffeine, but also a healthy drink for all. It's time to learn more about Coffee: The Revolutionary Drink for Pleasure and Health -- from the crop to the cup -- in a new book that wages an insightful, fascinating study on what is perhaps history's greatest beverage.

While most coffee drinkers are fully satisfied when they smell the aroma and drink the delicious taste of coffee, this pleasurable experience automatically becomes a guilty pleasure once the drinker starts thinking about caffeine's negative effects on the human body. This book shows that coffee is more than caffeine and is rich in antioxidants, minerals and vitamins, amongst other chemicals. The book masterfully retraces the colorful history of coffee, providing a definitive guide to coffee pleasure -- from start to finish.

Did you know that drinking coffee regularly protects against many diseases? Did you know that drinking coffee regularly can save lives in coffee producing and consuming countries? Did you know that when you drive you should only drink coffee? In this book, Dr. Santos and Dr. Lima, in a very authoritative approach, show that the coffee plant is not only natural but also healthy. They defend the hypothesis that if every youth in America, Europe and Asia starts drinking a cup of coffee with milk instead of artificial beverages (sodas, energetics, colas, etc.) they will be more alert, increase memory capacity, strengthen thinking and mood, not to mention cut calories and prevent diseases such as obesity and diabetes that have been growing within this age range. Wait, there is more. The authors state that if every adult could replace one drink a day of alcoholic beverages such as spirits, wine or beer with a cup of coffee, he will be helping to save more lives, including his own, by preventing diseases such as depression/suicide, alcoholism/cirrhosis, Parkinson's/Alzheimer's disease and cancer. All this news is known as the Coffee Paradox as it is far more important than the French Paradox. Order a copy now through Xlibris.com.
