According to the decision made on January 25, 2008 by the council of JSC
„Latvijas kuģniecība” (LK), changes have been made in the board of the company.
The changes are related to expiry of authority of the board members of LK
Solvita Deglava, Ilva Purēna and Guntis Tīrmanis on February 13 of the present
year. It has been decided in the board of LK to re-elect I. Purēns and G.
Tīrmanis for three years. The term of authorization of both of the mentioned
board members will commence on February 14, 2008 when also the re-elected board
members Andris Linužs and Raivis Veckāgans will commence their work at the JSC
„Latvijas kuģniecība”. Imants Sarmulis will continue working in the position of
chairman of the board of LK.
Miks Ekbaums and Solvita Deglava will stop performing duties of board members
as well as the first vice-president and vice-president on February 13, 2008. As
from February 14, 2008, the position of the first vice-president will be filled
by A.Linužs and the position of vice-president - by R.Veckāgans. Thereby the
quantitative structure of the board of LK will remain constant and will be
represented by five highly qualified specialists in the field of navigation,
finance and legal matters.
The afore-mentioned changes in the board of the JSC „Latvijas kuģniecība” have
been fixed in the Register of Enterprises of the Republic of Latvia.
