HARRISBURG, Penn., Feb. 4, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Worldwide industrial services company Harsco Corporation (NYSE:HSC) announced today that its industry-leading MultiServ mill services division has been awarded a new, nine-year contract in Belgium that is expected to generate new service revenues in excess of $100 million over its term.
The award from ArcelorMittal's ALZ Genk stainless steel works calls for MultiServ to immediately assume on-site responsibilities for managing the mill's complete scrap yard and slab yard operations, thereby replacing a previous contractor. ALZ Genk is one of two major ArcelorMittal stainless steel works in Belgium, both of which already utilize MultiServ for a range of services that include on-site slag pot transport, metal recovery, slab grinding and scrap oxycutting.
