HiQ and Veikkaus extend partnership with new framework agreement

The Finnish National Lottery Veikkaus extends its co-operation with HiQ. The
companies have signed a framework agreement regarding software development
services. The agreement is valid until further notice.

The new framework agreement continues a partnership between Veikkaus and HiQ
that has lasted 20 years. In 1988 HiQ Softplan began developing solutions for
Veikkaus's online gaming system, in 1996 the collaboration extended to the
development of interactive gaming solutions, and since 2005 HiQ has developed
Veikkaus's www.veikkaus.fi Internet gaming service as a subcontractor to GTECH,
a leading global provider of  IT solutions and services to the gaming and
lottery industry.

“Our collaboration with GTECH will continue as before - the new agreement covers
other areas of system and software development. For instance, there are plans to
renew parts of Veikkaus' non-gaming-related Internet services”, says Pekka Neva,
