Rednex new signing to 313music JWP AG
First song 'Football Is Our Religion' to appear for the 2008 European
Soccer Championship

Munich, February 5, 2008 – Through its subsidiary 313 Music GmbH, 313music
JWP AG has signed a contract with the group Rednex. The worldwide artists’
agreement also ensures the company a stake in the band’s income from live
performances. The first release planned on the 313 Music label is the
single 'Football Is Our Religion', which is due to appear for the 2008
European Soccer Championship.
Rednex landed their first international no. 1 hit with 'Cotton Eye Joe', a
cover version of an American country song. In Germany it was 25 weeks
before the song, which sold over 1.7 million copies, was forced form the
top of the country’s singles chart, making it the longest number 1 hit ever
in the German charts. The band from Stockholm also enjoyed huge
international success, making it the number one slot in no less than 12
countries. To date Rednex have been awarded 41 Gold albums and in Germany
alone have had six no. 1 hits, including 'Wish You Were Here' and 'The
Spirit of the Hawk'.

The contract between 313 Music GmbH and Rednex was concluded together with
the successful producer Alex Christensen’s King Size Records GmbH.
Following his chart-topping success with 'Du hast den schönsten Arsch der
Welt' (Alex C. feat. Y-ass) the follow-up single 'Doktorspiele' this week
climbed to the number three slot in Austria and number four in the German
charts.
