(Nasdaq:BELM) today announced that it has signed a distribution agreement with American Portwell Technology, Inc., a world-leading innovator in the Industrial PC (IPC) market and a member of the Intel Embedded and Communications Alliance (Intel ECA) and a wholly owned subsidiary of Portwell, Inc.. The companies have entered into a joint agreement whereby Bell Microproducts will distribute American Portwell's portfolio of embedded computer boards and systems, PICMG single board computers and backplanes, industrial computer chassis and systems and network security rackmount and desktop systems via its sales force.
By becoming a distributor of American Portwell Technology's product lines, Bell Microproducts will provide its customers with an enhanced portfolio of IPC market offerings, such as the latest Intel-architecture based PICMG 1.3 system host boards (SHB) and backplanes, Intel multi-core technology based compact Mini-ITX boards and systems, cost-effective embedded computer boards, network security and acceleration cards and high bandwidth rackmount appliances for network/communication security.
