Bente Overgaard joins Nykredit's Group Executive Board Bente Overgaard, Executive Vice President, has been appointed Group Managing Director and will join Nykredit's Group Executive Board as from 1 March 2008 where she will be in charge of human resources, staff training, management and organisational development as well as the Group's facilities management functions. Bente Overgaard (43) has held executive positions in Nykredit's Commercial Cus-tomers area since 1998 and was most recently in charge of Nykredit's customer centres, advisory functions, business development and sales activities. Bente Overgaard holds an MSc (Political Science) from the University of Århus (1990). After graduation, she joined Nykredit as a trainee. - Our business activities have undergone a significant development in recent years, and this is expected to continue. We expect to recruit around 500-700 new staff members in 2008 alone. Therefore, the Group Executive Board has recognised a need to strengthen focus on human resources in general. Bente Overgaard has strong competencies with respect to management and organisational development in the Commercial Customers area - competencies we can now benefit from across the Group. Moreover, the appointment also serves to rejuvenate the Group Execu-tive Board, says Peter Engberg Jensen, Group Chief Executive. Bente Overgaard's new areas of responsibility have up to now been vested in the Group Chief Executive, who is still directly in charge of Group Treasury, the Group Secretariat, Group Legal Affairs, Corporate Communications and Internal Audit in addition to the executive managerial responsibility. The areas of responsibility of the other Group Managing Directors are unchanged. As from 1 March, Nykredit's Group Executive Board will subsequently consist of Pe-ter Engberg Jensen, Group Chief Executive, and Søren Holm, Karsten Knudsen, Per Ladegaard, Bente Overgaard and Niels Tørslev, all Group Managing Directors.
