Cecilia Edström appointed as Head of Group Communications, TeliaSonera

Cecilia Edström is the new Group Vice President and Head of Group
Communications, TeliaSonera. She succeeds Ewa Lagerqvist who left the company
October 10, 2007.

Cecilia Edström, aged 42, joins TeliaSonera from Scania, where she has held a
number of senior positions since 1995. She is currently Senior Vice President
Corporate Relations, Scania.

In her new position as Group Vice President and Head of Group Communications at
TeliaSonera, Cecilia Edström will be responsible for all communication in
TeliaSonera's markets, including Public Affairs, Internal Communication,
Corporate Social Responsibility, Media Relations and Brand Management.

Cecilia Edström has an MSc degree in Finance and Business Administration from
the Stockholm School of Economics. Cecilia Edström is also a member of the Board
of BE Group AB.
