New President of Volvo Information Technology

Magnus Carlander, 52, has been appointed new President of Volvo Information
Technology. Carlander has been a member of Volvo IT's management group since
1998 and his duties have included responsibility for the development of IT
support for  the Volvo Group's administrative services. 


Magnus Carlander will assume his new position in April this year in connection
with the retirement of current President Ulf Nilsson. Carlander will also assume
the role of Chief Information Officer, CIO, for the Volvo Group. Magnus
Carlander has previously worked for such companies as Volvo Cars and has a
degree in engineering from Chalmers Institute of Technology.
