HOUSTON, Feb. 14, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- SYSCO Corporation (NYSE:SYY), North America's largest foodservice marketer and distributor, announced today that R. Keith Lusk has been named president and chief executive officer of Sysco Food Services of New Mexico, a broadline foodservice distribution subsidiary located in Albuquerque. He succeeds Timothy K. Hogan, who will be assuming the position of president and CEO of Sysco Foodservices of Minnesota, Inc. Mr. Lusk currently serves as executive vice president of SYSCO's Denver, Colorado operation and will assume his new position effective March 31, 2008.
Mr. Lusk, 47, began his SYSCO career in 1982 in operations for the company's Dallas subsidiary. He advanced to merchandiser in 1985 and merchandising manager in 1988. He subsequently served in merchandising leadership positions for SYSCO's Oklahoma, Miami and Denver subsidiaries. In 2004, he was appointed senior vice president for the Denver operation and in 2005, was promoted to his current position.
Mr. Lusk is a native of Parkersburg, West Virginia and attended West Virginia University. He and his wife, Aimee, will be relocating to the Albuquerque area in the near future.
