Larox plans to establish a subsidiary in China

Larox plans to establish a subsidiary in China. When realized the new
subsidiary will be responsible for filter sales and after market services to
the existing and potential Larox customers in China. Furthermore, the
subsidiary aims at purchasing components from local suppliers. The company also
plans to start local assembly of filters, primarily for the needs of Chinese
and Asian markets. These plans are planned to be completed during the current
year so that the subsidiary would be fully operational during the first half of
2009.

“The planned establishment of subsidiary aims at improving our ability to serve
current and new customers in the growing Chinese and Asian markets. We believe
that access to local markets with full product portfolio supported by local
assembly and sourcing will improve our competitiveness globally and strengthen
our position as a supplier of solid/liquid separation solutions for customers
in mining, metallurgical and chemical process industries”, says Topi Karppanen,
President & CEO of Larox Corporation.

The location of the planned new subsidiary will be in Shanghai province.

Larox has a strong position as a supplier of filter solutions and their after
sales services in China and elsewhere in Asia. In China Larox has operated
through an agent. In other important countries in the region Larox operates
through its agent network.
