DATAllegro and Coffing Data Warehouse Announce Partnership and OEM Deal

Nexus Query Tool Enhances DATAllegro's v3 Data Warehouse Appliance

ALISO VIEJO, Calif., Feb. 14, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- DATAllegro(tm), supplier of the most advanced data warehouse appliance on an enterprise-class platform, today announced a new partnership and OEM deal with Coffing Data Warehouse (Coffing DW). As a result, Coffing DW's Nexus query tool will ship with every DATAllegro v3 data warehouse appliance. The Nexus tool allows customers to query a variety of leading databases including DATAllegro, DB2, Teradata and Oracle. In addition, Coffing DW will work with DATAllegro customers who are migrating from Teradata to DATAllegro or who are using DATAllegro alongside Teradata as part of their enterprise data warehouse.

"DATAllegro has always shipped an open-source query tool with its data warehouse appliance. However, after researching various options we decided to replace our existing query tool with Nexus based on its better reliability and broader functionality," said Stuart Frost, CEO, of DATAllegro. "Nexus works with all leading databases and works seamlessly in a Windows desktop environment, making it easier and more reliable for business users."

Coffing DW was founded in 1994 and is highly respected in the data warehousing industry for its expertise, experience and knowledge in implementing Teradata. The company has worked with hundreds of Teradata users in the US to successfully implement Teradata systems. Coffing DW provides education, services and software to help Teradata users more easily work with and administer Teradata alongside other data warehouse systems.

"Although I have a long history of working exclusively with Teradata users, several years ago I started researching data warehouse appliance technology to see if it could provide a lower cost alternative," said Tom Coffing, CEO of Coffing DW. "After looking at the various appliances available, I found DATAllegro's offering to be particularly compelling for Teradata users. Not only does it have better performance at a much lower cost, but I also found DATAllegro to be a great fit for Teradata users due to its architecture and usability. Companies using Teradata can use DATAllegro to lower their cost and increase their performance with minimal disruption to their data warehouse environment. I am very pleased to be working with them to help companies recognize the many benefits of DATAllegro's leading technology."

In addition to Coffing DW, DATAllegro also has partnerships with leading business intelligence companies including Business Objects, Microstrategy and Informatica.
