Brad Anderson to be Keynote Speaker At 48th Annual Minnesota Prayer Breakfast On March 19th

Breakfast Will Also Feature Music by International Recording Artist Giorge Pettus, With Patience Ferguson; Event Will Include Dramatic Readings -- Many Government and Civic Leaders to Attend


MINNEAPOLIS, Feb. 20, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- The Minnesota Prayer Breakfast Committee announced today that Brad Anderson, Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Twin Cities-based Best Buy Co., Inc., will be the featured speaker at the Forty-Eighth Annual Minnesota Prayer Breakfast on Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at the RiverCentre in downtown Saint Paul, Minn. Music for the 2008 Minnesota Prayer Breakfast will be performed by International Recording Artist Giorge Pettus, featuring Patience Ferguson.

The Prayer Breakfast's keynote speaker, Brad Anderson, is an unassuming man of great vision, conviction, and character who became the Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Best Buy Co., Inc., a Fortune 100 Company based in Minnesota. Anderson joined Sound of Music, a precursor to Best Buy, in 1973, and has helped to grow a small chain of stereo stores into the number one electronics retailer in North America with 140,000 employees in North America and Asia. He has worked to build a culture where employees can "have fun while being the best" while demanding that "integrity, humility and respect be demonstrated by all."

The Minnesota Prayer Breakfast annually attracts up to 1,500 people or more and seeks to promote prayer and spirituality in public and private life. Attending previous Breakfasts were many community, business and political leaders, including U.S. Senators and the Governor of Minnesota.
