Engineering Firm Begins Plant Development of Monarch Detroit Processing Facility

HINSDALE, Ill., Feb. 25, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Voyager Petroleum Inc. (OTCBB:VYGO) (Frankfurt:DXD) announced today that the engineering firm of Kuchar Consulting International (KCI) out of LaPorte, Indiana has begun the first of three phases of machinery and process design of the Detroit facility operated by its subsidiary, Monarch Petroleum, Inc.

In Phase I, KCI looks to maximize efficiency and reliability of Monarch's processing and bottling equipment and also to promote safety in the facility. These functions include the separation of electrical systems, installation of updated light fixtures, and the insulation of tanks in the processing area. KCI is installing industrial-type lighting in the processing area so as to meet proper Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Workers' Compensation guidelines. Currently, the Detroit facility has 600 amp service, which is anticipated to exceed the electrical requirements needed to run all of the required processing and bottling equipment once installed, as well as attend to the heating and lighting needs of the facility. KCI is also separating the processing and hi-speed bottling equipment into three sections with sub-panels to aid in function identification which is intended to increase productivity. The first section consists of seven heated tanks and contains multiple pieces of the processing system. The second section consists of four multiple compartment 20,000 gallon horizontal tanks, various screeners, filters, pumps, and additive blenders. The third section consists of the hi-speed bottling equipment. Lastly, KCI is finishing up the insulation of Monarch's inside tank farm which has seven 12,000 gallon, heated tanks, each with a 10,000 gallon processing capacity. Three tanks are intended to be used for inbound oil processing, two for oil unloading, one for drying trace amounts of water from oil after processing, and one for waste water processing. Three of these tanks are equipped with mixers. This inside tank farm also includes one 6000 gallon heated tank equipped with a mixer which will be used primarily for drying trace amounts of water for smaller batches of product and incoming line wash. Sebastien DuFort, Monarch's President stated, "We are excited to get this design process underway and look forward to establishing a reliable and efficient facility."
