The UBS AG, Zurich, Switzerland, has informed us in accordance with § 21
section 1 of the Securities Trading Law that the voting rights share of UBS
AG in Volkswagen Aktiengesellschaft, Wolfsburg, Germany, exceeded the
threshold of 3% on 18th February 2008 with a voting rights share on this
day of 3.93% (11,438,426 voting rights). Of these voting rights 0.11%
(307,702 voting rights) are to be allocated to UBS AG according to § 22,
section 1, sentence 1, no. 1 of the Securities Trading Law.
