LISLE, Ill., Feb. 26, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- In times of war, uncertainty is the only certain thing that will affect everyone involved. Instantly, a race for survival becomes inevitable and the struggle for it only becomes more chaotic as time passes. Such things happened to a certain young lad who not only escaped death twice but also embraced new cultures and norms along the way. A dramatic story of survival is all set to unravel as Xlibris releases Mahayk And The Barber Of Lyle, the new novel written by Norman S. deLisle.

Mahayk And The Barber Of Lyle follows the exploits of a young Japanese boy who lost everything when B-29 bombers destroyed Tokyo in 1945. Some years later, he studies violin music in Rome and eventually moves back to Tokyo to become a Gamigaze pilot. During one of his missions, he gets shot down in the Korean strait by American warplanes only to be rescued by a Red Army general. Once again a survivor of American attacks, the lad embraces Korean culture and decides to fight in the Korean War as a commander years later. Along the way, he gets accused of plotting a coup d'etat.
