HERNDON, Va., Feb. 27, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- The U.S. Army has awarded Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) a firm-fixed-price contract valued at up to $30 million over three years to provide instructors and instructor support at the U.S. Army Armor Center at Fort Knox, Ky.
The contract supports the "Grow the Army" initiative, which will increase the Army end strength by more than 74,000 additional soldiers across Army active-duty, Guard and Reserve components by the end of Fiscal Year 2010.

Work on the contract will begin in March with more than 25 instructors supporting the center's Basic Officer Leadership Course (BOLC III).
