Option release: Anticipated adjustment of OMXH25 Index due to extraordinary dividend in Wärtsilä Oyj (22/08)

The board of Wärtsilä Oyj (Wärtsilä) has proposed that the Annual General Meeting (AGM) on March 19, 2008 approves an extra dividend of EUR 2.00. Provided that the AGM approves the proposal, Wärtsilä B (FI0009003727) will be adjusted in OMXH25 index of payment of extra dividends of total EUR 2.00 per share. Adjustment will be performed effective from start on the Ex-day, March 20, by subtraction of EUR 2.00 from the closing price on the bank day before the Ex-day. The adjustment is made according to rule 8.8 in the “Index description of OMXH25 Stock Index”.

The board of Wärtsilä has also proposed that the company’s two share series should be combined into one. The number of shares used in the OMXH25 index will remain the same until the next quarterly review.
