MOUNT LAUREL, N.J., Feb. 29, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Automotive Resources International's (ARI), EnviroFleet(tm) program provides relief in the form of "green" consulting, case studies and recommendations to clients; it has already completed analysis for 29 customers, encompassing over 120,000 vehicles year-to-date.
EnviroFleet started as a learning tool designed to educate fleet managers on what it meant to create an environmentally conscious fleet. Gradually, EnviroFleet grew into the hands-on analytical, reporting and leading program it is today.
Recently, ARI announced its incorporation of "green" monitoring and benchmarking capabilities through ARI insights(r), its web-based fleet management and reporting system. The list of capabilities continues to grow daily. ARI insights calculates "green" from a 'lifecycle' perspective. The system provides "green" monitoring and reporting by allowing vehicle comparisons and carbon footprint calculations. It also documents all environmental initiatives recommended to and/or accepted by clients and includes an environmental resource database containing manufacturer information, government ratings, and alternative fuel information. These efforts have been complemented by ARI's "Affiliation" status with Smartway, established in 2007.
The ultimate goal of ARI's EnviroFleet team is to provide fleet operations with concise, case-specific, vehicle and application-specific direction on how they can create an environmentally friendly fleet, lower their carbon-footprint, lower costs and measure the results of their efforts.
