Bonn. Today, the MOSAIC Software AG Management Board announced the
preliminary financial figures of the Group for the 2007 financial year.
The EDI outsourcing and process consultancy company continued its course of
consolidation in 2007 financial year. Hence, MOSAIC again works on projects
with broad scopes, but which have long decision-making paths and project
run times. Significant costs were saved on the basis of modernising and
restructuring measures. The original targeted revenues for 2007 were not
reached because decisions for various large projects were postponed to 2008
by customers. Even with further cost savings as well as good growth,
particularly in the consulting division in HY2 2007, it was not possible to
compensate this.
In the context of the 2007 consolidated financial statements and in line
with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), MOSAIC anticipates
Group revenues of EUR 2,179 thousand for the 2007 financial year (2006: EUR
4,150 thousand). A key feature of the development in revenues in the 2006
fiscal year was dealings with a major client regarding the acquisition of a
MOSAIC solution. The expected EBITDA is
minus EUR 1,540 thousand after minus EUR 1,290 thousand in 2006 and the
anticipated EBIT is minus EUR 2,503 (2006: minus EUR 3,663 thousand).
After preliminary calculations, MOSAIC will conclude 2007 financial year
with a consolidated result of minus EUR 2,530 thousand (2006: minus EUR
3,678 thousand). It is impacted by an extraordinary write-down of EUR 377
thousand on the carrying value of the company building in Alsdorf.
As announced on 19 November 2007 by the management in the interim
announcement in line with Art. 37x of the Securities Trading Act in HY2
2007, MOSAIC is looking for a strategic partner. Talks are in progress.
On 28 March 2008, MOSAIC Software AG publishes its complete and audited
annual report with the final financial figures and a commentary on the
