AMENDMENT

On March 3, 2008, UBS AG Zürich, Schweiz has informed us according to
Article 21, Section 1 of the WpHG that via shares its Voting Rights on
ALTANA AG, Wesel, Deutschland, ISIN: DE0007600801, WKN: 760080, have fallen
below the 5 % and the 3 % limit of the Voting Rights on February 27, 2008
and now amount to 1.66 % (this corresponds to 2328291 Voting Rights).

Of these, 0.31 % of the Voting rights (this corresponds 437203 Voting
Rights) are attributable to UBS AG pursuant to § 22 para 1 sentence 1 No. 1
WpHG.
