Mr. Owen T. Smith Joins the First National Bank of Long Island's Business Advisory Board


GLEN HEAD, N.Y., March 14, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- The First National Bank of Long Island is happy to announce that Mr. Owen T. Smith has joined the Bank's Business Advisory Board.

Mr. Smith is the Owner of the Milleridge Inn, "One of America's Famous Old Inns," in Jericho, New York. He is also Professor Emeritus at The C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University and has been teaching courses in law, economics and government to students since 1967. Mr. Smith also served as Chief Deputy County Executive of Nassau County, practiced law in his private practice for 29 years and was Chairman of both the Nassau County Planning Commission and The New York State Board Election. He is also an active writer and has published several books, newsletters and articles that pertain to federal taxation banking, trusts and environmental.

Mr. Smith is a graduate of Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut, Georgetown University in Washington D.C. and St. Johns School of Law in Queens, New York.

He is a member of several professional organizations including the American Bar Association and the Nassau County Bar Association.

Mr. Smith currently resides in Roslyn Harbor, New York with his wife Bernadette Casey Smith.
