PARAMUS, NJ--(Marketwire - March 18, 2008) - NetWrix Corporation, a provider of systems
management and compliance solutions for Active Directory and virtual
environments, announced today that it has entered the growing IT Change
Management market with its Active Directory Change Reporter (ADCR), and is
offering both free and commercial versions of this product. The innovative
software is designed to expand the capacity to audit, manage and analyze
any changes made to the Active Directory -- both authorized and
unauthorized.
"The ability to monitor day-to-day administrative activities is a vital
part of running an effective Active Directory infrastructure. Not only does
it improve the ability to meet regulatory requirements, it provides CIOs
and IT managers with a bird's-eye view of all activity in their
environment," said NetWrix President and CEO Michael Fimin. "At NetWrix, we
understand the significance of having an effective tool like Active
Directory Change Reporter at the disposal of all IT managers. We hope that
a number of industry professionals take advantage of this free, easily
deployable product."
The power to monitor and limit any changes and errors to the Active
Directory configuration is essential in today's enterprising world where
compliance and the prevention of security breaches are paramount. The
product records all modifications, including both user and administrative
activity, and e-mails daily reports to AD administrators detailing every
Active Directory change.
In addition to the free version, NetWrix also offers a commercial version
of the ADCR that expands the reporting capabilities further. The commercial
version of the product that not only informs IT managers what changes were
made but who made them and when they were made. Having such functionality
is significant for larger companies where tracing a single change back to a
specific administrator can be costly process. Collected audit data is
archived and can be stored for years. The archiving function allows
organizations to analyze any policy violations, adhere to security best
practices and maintain established internal policies. These capabilities
save companies time and money by streamlining the ability to see such
changes.
