Villingen-Schwenningen, 27 March 2008: NEXUS AG, Villingen Schwenningen,
listed in Prime Standard, had consolidated sales of KEUR 29,712 in 2007
compared to KEUR 26,121 in the previous year (14%) and achieved a
substantially better operating result before taxes of KEUR 1,677 compared
to KEUR 1,127 (49%) in the previous year. The EBITDA increased by KEUR 985
to KEUR 5,129
NEXUS AG confirmed and surpassed its forecasts in 2007. Sales in the core
business, Health Care Software, increased by 18% to KEUR 25,710 (previous
year: KEUR 21,882) over the whole year. The Healthcare Service Division had
approx. 6% fewer sales with KEUR 4,002 than in the previous year (2006:
KEUR 4,239).
The result after taxes improved by KEUR 800 in 2006 to KEUR 397. The
operative cash flow is 2.95 million following 2.42 million in the previous
year (+23%).
The acquired companies NEXUS / PASCHMANN and NEXUS / HOLL are consolidated
in the figures with seven and five months respectively and total
contribution to sales of EUR 1.38 million and profits of KEUR 56.
The continued increase in sales and result of the NEXUS Group is mainly due
to its substantially improved market position and a large number of orders
received during the reporting period.
NEXUS AG is active internationally as a supplier of medical information
systems for health care systems. NEXUS customers include renowned hospitals
as well as rehabilitation and social welfare institutions in 17 countries.
Introduction of NEXUS software makes it possible to support medical
processes digitally and consequently improve patient treatment and reduce
treatment costs.
More than 300 staff members in the NEXUS Group develop software and IT
solutions, with which approximately 68,000 users in 17 countries
work.
