Chinese Institute of Geology and Mineral Resources to Visit Douglas Lake Minerals' Properties

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, March 31, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Harp Sangha, CEO/President of Douglas Lake Minerals Inc. (OTCBB:DLKM), announced today the company has finalized details of the itinerary for a visiting delegation of senior geologists from three Chinese mining institutes, lead by the Tianjin Institute of Geology and Mineral Resources (TIGMR), to tour the companies' properties.

"After completing their due diligence, the visiting members of TIGMR, Tianjin Geological Research Institute and the Tianjin Institute of Northern China Geological Exploration confirmed their intent to take an official tour of our Tanzanian properties this April," stated Harp Sangha. "The trip was planned after conducting several high level meetings in Beijing to review the potential of our 51 properties. Originally slated to be a 10-day tour, the five senior officials have decided to lengthen their trip to 18 days to enable them to more thoroughly assess our properties.

"China is currently the largest investor in African infrastructure. Now they're going further downstream to acquire earlier stage projects. They have a strong desire to partner with companies such as ours that have properties with significant potential," stated Sangha. "The institute has stated that if our properties meet their expectations, they're prepared to commit a substantial investment to enable the company to implement a significant exploration program led by our Tanzanian geological team."
