First Financial Northwest, Inc. Declares Initial Quarterly Cash Dividend and Announces Date of Annual Meeting


RENTON, Wash., April 3, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- First Financial Northwest, Inc. (Nasdaq:FFNW) today reported that its Board of Directors declared an initial quarterly cash dividend of $0.075 per share on its common stock.

The dividend will be paid on May 5, 2008 to shareholders of record as of the close of business on April 21, 2008. This is the first cash dividend for First Financial Northwest, Inc. since the completion of its mutual to stock conversion on October 9, 2007.

Victor Karpiak, Chairman, President and CEO of First Financial stated, "As a result of the Company's capital strength, we intend to pay regular, quarterly cash dividends in the future subject to the Company's earnings, financial condition, capital requirements, general economic conditions, and other factors deemed relevant by the Board of Directors."

First Financial also announced that its first Annual Meeting of Shareholders will be held on Friday, May 23, 2008.
